Stitched using silk floss, and overdyed silk flosses, on sky blue linen, this delightful garden sampler is a vibrant addition to the Victorian Garden series. As you walk into this garden at the bottom of the sampler, you'll find the lady of the house is busy picking tulips for her basket, bees are busily gathering the early nectar beside the backyard bird feeder where bluebirds are gathering. The apple blossoms overhead fill the air with fragrance. Further on you'll find some narcissus, daffodils, tulips, iris, bluebells and hyacinths tumbling over each other.

The little spring peeper in the hyacinths bed reminds you to be careful stitching, and the swans in the pond glide serenely in the sunshine!. At the top of the garden, the new leaves of the weeping willow and the bright pink cherry blossoms shade a bunny as it munches the fresh new sprouts in the spring garden . This Learning Sampler is perfect for the beginning through intermediate specialty stitcher. You will practice some lovely specialty stitches such as Lazy Daisies, Colonial Knots, Foursided Pulled Stitches, French Knots, Cross Stitch over one fabric thread, Arrowhead, Plait, Modified Fern, Open Herringbone Stitches Hemstitch, and Coil Filling Stitches.
